Family Portal

What is the Family Portal?

The Family Portal is a secure online website that provides you with access to various features and information related to your child's participation in programs where the organization is using Arly for online enrollment. Use the Family Portal to register for programs, securely submit and access documents like waivers, consent forms and medical information, and update your child's health and safety information like emergency contacts and authorized pickups. 


How do I access the Family Portal? 

  • Your Program Administrator will invite you to the Family Portal via email. 
  • Alternatively, if your program is using Online Enrollment, you can register for an account when you first apply.
  • You may also be able to find access to the portal on the organizations website - it may be listed as Family Portal or Registration.


How do I view and update my child’s information? 

View each child’s contact, medical, pick-up, and guardian information by clicking on the icon with the child’s first initial. The pencil icon next to their name will allow you to edit.

How do I track my child’s applications and enrollment status?

Continue any in-progress application by logging into your Family Portal account. Review your child’s application status on the Family Portal homepage. Your child’s detail page also shows program information and enrollment status.


Arly Families App

What is the Arly Families App?

The Arly Families app helps you stay in the loop with your child's youth program experience. Get real-time messages through announcements, direct messages, and photos from the program administrators and staff responsible for your child.  


How do I download the Arly Families App?


The app is available for iOS and Android; simply search for “Arly Families” in Google Play or the Apple App Store. 


How do I log in to the Arly Families App?

Use the username and passcode you created to setup your Family Portal account to login to the Arly  Families App. If you did not create a Family Portal account you will need to reach out to the program staff or administrator - they can send you a link to register on the Family App.


How do I change the settings, including language in my app?

  • Tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner. You can modify your email, password, language, and push notification preferences.
  • Change your password in your settings and it will apply to both the Family Portal and the App. 

How do I customize push notifications for my app?

Personalize notification settings for the newsfeed and for chat. Once push notifications are toggled on, you can further customize how notifications are displayed through the notification settings on your mobile device.


Where can I find announcements and updates about my child’s program?

  • The newsfeed from your child’s program will be the first thing you see when you open the app! If you have multiple children in the program you are able to toggle between seeing messages for all children or filtering down on messages pertaining to just one child.
  • New announcements will appear in a different color and be pinned at the top of the page for 36 hours.
  • Staff love feedback - please feel free to 👍 comments to show you've read and understand the note! 

How can I contact and message my child’s teachers or program staff?

  • Tap the direct message icon on the bottom navigation bar.
  • If you have multiple children in the program you will have the ability to select staff associated with each particular child before sending the note. 

How do I use the Participant Pickup Feature in the app?

The app provides a streamlined and convenient way for families and staff to manage the participant pick up process while emphasizing safety and security. If your program uses this feature, you will see a 🚗 icon in the bottom menu of your Arly Families app.

To use the Participant Pickup feature

  • Login to your Arly mobile app
  • Select the car icon 🚗 on the bottom menu to navigate to the Participant Pickup
  • Select Ready for Pickup
  • Provide the program staff member with today's pickup code or select the QR code to provide a scannable QR code
  • Complete checkout

If you would like someone outside of the Guardians listed in your program account to pick up your child, you will need to add them as either an Emergency Contact or Authorized Pickup. Then you can invite them to the app so they can use the steps above for pickup, or they can present their driver's license for manual verification.

  • An overview of roles: your program will reach out to Emergency Contacts when Guardians are unavailable and they can pick up the participant. Authorized Pickups will not be contacted directly by the program but are allowed to transport the child.

To add a new Emergency Contact 

  • Access your programs Family Portal via a web browser
  • Select the letter of the participant's name on the left-hand side to update their profile (This letter is at the top within a mobile browser)
  • Select "Add Emergency Contact" under the Child Details tab and enter the required information (name, relationship to child, and phone number/type)
  • Select Save, and an automatic SMS will be sent to that phone number, inviting them to the app

To add a new Authorized Pickup 

  • Access your programs Family Portal via a web browser
  • Select the letter of the participant's name on the left-hand side to update their profile (This letter is at the top within a mobile browser)
  • Select "Add Authorized Pickup" under the Program tab and enter the required information (name, relationship to child, phone number/type, and effective to/from dates)To add a new Authorized Pickup Select
  • Save and an automatic SMS will be sent to that phone number, inviting them to the app

Emergency Contact and/or Authorized Pickup app registration

  • Once your Emergency Contact/Authorized Pickup receives their SMS request with an invite code, they’ll be able to create their own account. The SMS will contain a link to the app store to download the Arly Family mobile app.  
  • Once they have opened the app, select "Have an invite code"
  • Next, they'll enter the 5-digit invite code provided within the SMS message and their phone number, then select Submit
  • They'll enter their email, create a password, and confirm the password, then select Complete
  • They can then login and access Participant Pickup by selecting the car icon
