Your privacy and security are important to us
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how The B.E.L.L. Foundation, Inc. ("BellXcel," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through www.bellxcel.org, and www.arly.com (collectively, the "BellXcel Sites").
This Policy applies to our public websites and related activities, including browsing our pages, signing up for newsletters, requesting information, accessing public resources, responding to outreach, or making a donation. It does not apply to the Arly Platform at go.arly.com. If you are using the Arly Platform as a program administrator, staff member, parent, guardian, Adult Participant, or Authorized Adult Contact, please review the Arly Platform Privacy Policy.
This Policy explains:
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you provide to us, information collected automatically when you interact with the BellXcel Sites, and, in some cases, information we receive from service providers, advertising or analytics partners, referral sources, or other third parties.
Information you provide to us
We may collect information you provide when you contact us, request information, respond to an advertisement or promotion, begin a program assessment, use a public resource library, subscribe to newsletters, register for an event, complete a survey, submit a form, or make a donation. Depending on the interaction, this may include your name, organization, title or role, mailing address, email address, telephone number, donation or transaction information, survey responses, and other information you choose to provide.
Website and device information
When you access or interact with the BellXcel Sites, we may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device information, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, files downloaded, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, session duration, and other information about how you interact with the Sites.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the BellXcel Sites, remember preferences, understand site usage, measure communications and campaigns, maintain security, and, where enabled, support analytics and advertising or marketing measurement. You can manage certain cookies through your browser settings and through any cookie or privacy choices tool made available on the BellXcel Sites. Blocking some technologies may affect site functionality.
Analytics and advertising technologies
We may use third-party analytics and advertising technologies to understand use of the BellXcel Sites, measure the effectiveness of outreach, and, where enabled, support interest-based or targeted advertising. These technologies may collect identifiers, device and browser information, site activity, referral information, and similar data. The specific technologies used may change over time. Where required by applicable law, we provide methods to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising and honor recognized opt-out preference signals as required by law.
Donations and payments
If you make a donation through a BellXcel Site, your donation is processed through GoFundMe Pro. Payment information is collected and processed by GoFundMe Pay, powered by Stripe, and may also be processed by the payment method you select, such as PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. BellXcel does not need to receive or store your full payment-card information to process the donation. We may receive and retain information about the donation, such as your name, contact information, donation amount, transaction status, and information necessary for donor administration, acknowledgments, and recordkeeping. BellXcel may publicly recognize donors by name unless the donor requests anonymity. Donors may request that their gift not be publicly recognized by selecting the applicable option on the donation page or by contacting us at privacy@bellxcel.org
Aggregated and de-identified information
We may create aggregated or de-identified information from information collected through the BellXcel Sites and use or disclose that information for analytics, research, reporting, program development, fundraising analysis, or other lawful purposes. We take reasonable measures designed to prevent such information from being associated with an identifiable individual and do not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law for testing or validation of our de-identification processes.
2. Information Collected by Third Parties
Service providers
We use third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, form processing, email delivery, donation processing, analytics, constituent relationship management, event support, security, and other operational services. We provide these providers only the information reasonably necessary for them to perform their services for us, subject to appropriate contractual or other protections where applicable.
Plugins and third-party features
The BellXcel Sites may include social-media plugins, embedded content, videos, forms, or other features provided by third parties. Those third parties may collect information directly from your browser or device under their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party feature you choose to use.
Analytics and advertising partners
Certain analytics or advertising partners may collect information through cookies, pixels, or similar technologies on the BellXcel Sites. Depending on the partner and the applicable law, the partner may process information on our behalf, for its own permitted purposes, or both. Where applicable, your choices regarding these activities are described in Section 5 below.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for purposes that include:

BellXcel may publicly recognize donors by name unless a donor requests anonymity. Where available, donors may indicate an anonymity preference during the donation process or by contacting us at privacy@bellxcel.org.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
BellXcel does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Depending on the technologies used on the BellXcel Sites and the law that applies to you, certain disclosures to advertising partners may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws. Where required, we provide the right to opt out of those activities as described below.
5. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Email and outreach choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing or fundraising emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting privacy@bellxcel.org. We will process opt-out requests promptly and within the time required by applicable law. You may continue to receive non-marketing communications where appropriate, such as donation receipts or responses to requests you initiate.
Cookies and advertising choices
You may be able to manage cookies or similar technologies through your browser settings and any privacy choices tool made available on the BellXcel Sites. Where applicable law requires an opt-out from sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will provide an appropriate method to exercise that choice. We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as browser-based signals, where required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to:
To exercise a privacy right, contact us at privacy@bellxcel.org. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request and may request information reasonably necessary to do so. If applicable law provides a right to appeal our decision on a privacy request, you may submit an appeal to privacy@bellxcel.org with the subject line "Appeal of Privacy Rights Request." We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.
6. Security

The BellXcel Sites may contain links to websites, services, or resources operated by third parties. BellXcel does not control those third parties or their privacy practices. If you follow a third-party link, the third party's privacy policy and terms will apply. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we do, we will post the revised Policy and update the "Last Updated" date above.
